ACCENTURE takes steps to eliminate global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals, in the midst of changes in the political and legal landscape of the United States, according to an internal note revised by Fox Business.
Global Information Technology (IT) and Management Advisory Julie Sweet, CEO, said on Thursday that “sunset” is the diversity goals defined in 2017, which was largely achieved while the DEI goals will no longer be anymore . used to assess staff performance. The Financial Times was the first to announce the development.
The company carries out career development programs for people with “concrete demographic groups” and plans to “invest more in career development programs via Accenture as part of our talent strategy update.”
Accenture also suspends external diversity -benchmarking surveys, while it takes time to assess participating in surveys.

Sweet noted that “the developing landscape in the United States, including recent implementation orders to follow” to contribute to the steps.

“We have always believed that in the promotion of innovation and attracting, recording and developing different perspectives and different experiences in different industries, it is essential to promote innovation and serve global companies,” he added.
Sweet’s reminder noted that Accenture continues to support employee resource groups and networks that “are open to all our people and have a wide range of participation, membership and Allyship.”

ACCENTURE announces that several large companies have resigned or reviewed the DEI policy last year.
Amazon, Facebook Parent Meta, Google, McDonald’s, Boeing, Molson Coors, Lowe’s, Harley-Davidson, Deere, Apple, Target, Vanguard and much more have announced diversity goals since 2024 and changes in policies.
