Apple and Google have recruited up to 20 applications from the appropriate application shops after security researchers have found that applications carry data -stolen malicious programs for almost a year.
Safety researchers of Kaspersky said the malicious programSynchronized to Sparkcat, since March 2024. Initially, researchers found a malicious framework in the food exposure used in the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia, but later found malicious programs on 19 other independent applications, which they said were downloaded. Using the code designed on the user’s display, known as Optical Cartersition (OCR), researchers have found that malicious programs scanned image galleries on victims’ tools to find the restoration sentences of cryptocurrencies in different languages, including English language, including English. After receiving the report from researchers, Apple from the App Store last week followed Google to compromised applications.
“All identified applications have been removed from Google Play and developers have been banned,” said Ed Fernandez, Google spokesman for Techcrunch.
A Google spokesman also confirmed that Android users have been protected from known versions of malicious programs through the built -in Google Play Protect Security feature.
Apple did not answer the comment.
Kaspersky spokesman Rosemarie Gonzales told Techcrunch that while reported applications were involved in official application stores, the company’s telemetry data suggests that malicious programs were available from other websites and unofficial application stores.
