Two Australian nurses were stopped after a video showed them threatening to kill Israeli patients and boast of denying them.
The man and the woman – both employees in a Sydney hospital, are being investigated by the police, said the new -South -wales officials (NSW).
State Minister of Health Ryan Park said that “thorough investigation” would be carried out to ensure that “there is no harmful (sick) result”, but the “rapid” examination of hospital records was not unusual.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned the video “painful and shameful” after he began circulation on the Internet.
Less than a week after Australia adopted stricter laws against hate crimes, after a wave of high-ranking anti-Semitic attacks.
On Wednesday, the NSW police said it was believed that “individuals were identified in the persons concerned” in the video.
According to the Minister of Health, both were immediately stopped and promised that they would never work in the NSW health system again.
The video was shared by Tiktok, the content maker, Max Vifer, who claims to be from Israel.
Your account is talking to people you meet in the Chatruletka application – an anonymous online platform that randomly pairs people to a video chat.
The footage seen by the BBC seems to have been recorded in a hospital.
A man who claims to be a doctor tells Mr. Veefer that he has a “beautiful eyes”, but adds that “sorry you are Israeli” before he says that he sends Israel to Jahannam – an Islamic place like hell.
He then makes a throat -layer gesture before a woman appears on the screen and says that “one day” Mr. Vifer “will be the time and will die, later adds that it will not treat the Israelis.
“I don’t mind them, I’ll kill them,” he says.
The video was edited, emotions were added, and some comments were exhausted – but authorities do not question its credibility.
Albanese described it as “disgusting” and “false” and wrote on X: “These anti -Semitic remarks that hate leads to our health system, and there is no place in Australia.
“Individuals who have been found to commit criminal anti -Semitic acts are confronted with the full power of our laws.”
Park also apologized to the Jewish community and said he would reassure them that they could continue to count on NSW’s “first -class” health care.
“There is no place in our hospital and health system to ever happen. There is no place in society.”
He added that the hospital staff were embarrassed and ashamed in the suburbs of Bankstown, but claimed that this would not reduce the good work they did.
In recent months, there have been a number of arson and graffiti attacks that are home, cars and synagogues in Australia in Jewish areas, causing fear in the community.
In January, a caravan was found in NSW full of power gel explosives that the police warned that it caused a “mass accident event” with anti -Semitic emotions and in Sydney on the list of Jewish goals.
Alex Ryvchin, co -director of the executive council of Australian Jews, said the video “once again served as a warning sign for all Australians in the middle of the Australian.”
