The Federal Flight Directorate (FAA) considers helicopters restrictions on the use of airspace around Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to ensure that it will not happen last month, like a fatal US flight accident.
FAA senior officials are considering keeping helicopters away from landing or taking off the airport, the sources of the case told the Wall Street Journal.

A few days after the event, the FAA, organized by the traffic secretary Sean Duffy, restricted the helicopter traffic above the Potomac River around the Washington National Airport and towards the Wilson Bridge.
According to the FAA, these restrictions will remain in force until the National Transport Security Board is expected to be a preliminary examination of the event, which is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
If the police, medical or presidential transport helicopters need to use the airspace, civilian planes cannot be in the same area, according to the FAA advisor.
