Fei-Fei Li, Stanford Computer Scientist and start-up founder, sometimes known as “AI Cross Mama”Three basic principles of the future of ai policy collection“Before next week’s AI Action Summit in Paris.
First, according to Li, politics should be “based on science rather than science fantasy. In other words, political decision -makers must focus on the current reality of AI, not the Grandiose futuristic scenarios, “utopia or apocalypse”.
In particular, Li said that he was critical for political decision -makers to understand that chatbots and pilot programs are “not forms of intelligence with intent, free will or awareness”, thus avoiding the “distant scenarios” and rather focusing on the focus “Case Challenges”.
Secondly, he claimed that politics must be “pragmatic, not ideologies,” which means that it writes that it “minimizes non -intentional consequences while stimulating innovation.”
Finally, Li said that these policies had to give up “full-fledged ecosystems-open source communities and academies.”
“Open access to AI models and calculation tools is essential for progress,” he said. “Restrictions create obstacles and slow innovation, especially for academic institutions and researchers who have less resources than their private sector counterparts.”
