Can Benavidez recover for Beterbiev/Bivol? ncvrs.com

Coach Stephen Edwards questions that David Benavidez will be the same warrior after many punishments have been absorbed by the huge, young athletic Cuban David Morrell last Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Edwards notes that Benavidez’s face looked bad and Morrell was injured several times. The 11th place was particularly difficult for Benavidez as Morrell struck him. Fortunately, the round ended before it could finish.

The 12 -year -old Pro Benavidez had a long career and shows signs of wear from these years. Most warriors are shot when they get so far in their careers. Benavidez came with him with the fight against smaller warriors, but it is still adding.

We got a glimpse of Miles on his engine last Saturday and seemed much older than Morrell and we took a bad beat.

A tiring battle

Benavidez hit Morrell twice after the bell, and when the Cuban answered, the referee wrote a point for him. Benavidez’s violation was ignored.

Morrell was the stronger warrior in the end and launched a serious penalty on Benavidez’s face. The Mexican monster was no longer similar to himself.

Benavidez made a 12 -round unanimous decision based on his earlier work, but he probably paid a price to win. If you will fight with the winner of Artur Berserbiev and Dmitry Bivol 2 Rematch, you may be food for one of the murderers.

They would celebrate an exhausted “Mexican monster”. If Benavidez does not match the fight against the Betterbiev-Biv, Morrell will fight. He is the younger warrior, less miles on the kilometer counter than Benavidez.

“Maybe, but maybe they left a piece in the ring themselves. It was a rough fight. Benavidez looked at it. He looked like Felix Trinidad when he beat Vargas. (December 2, 2000), ”said Stephen Edwards Millcity Boxing When asked to see the rebuild between David Morrell and David Benavidez.

“If you follow Tito’s career a year later, it was completed (when he lost Bernard Hopkins). After the Bernard fight, there was no more Tito. It was a rough fight (Morrell vs. Benavidez). Morrell has a big ** hand, a very strong guy, and athletic. He hit Benavidez with a few s ***. It was a rough fight.

He could see the stress on David’s face. It wasn’t an easy fight. I was fascinated by Morrell. In the end it was strong. He was in good condition. I thought Benavidez won eight or nine rounds. It was a difficult fight. That boy (Morrell) is strong, athletic, talented, won. Young and your boss. He buzzed Benavidez with a few shots.

Benavidez’s struggle

Benavidez looked like waiting for a kitty. He was very stressful because Morrell was still in the later rounds and shot at the Pitty-Pat combinations. Morrell caused serious damage.

If this was an old-fashioned 15-round fight, Morrell probably knocked out Benavidez because it was exhausted by the end. There was nothing at his shots, and Morrell shook him.

Morrell started buzzing a few times. (Benavidez) appeared. He was a little tired, Edwards said.

Stephen puts it slightly when he says that Benavidez’s face appeared and he is a “little tired”. His face was similar to the rocky Balboa character from his first struggle with Apollo Creed. Morrell absorbed his career punishment.
