“They are out on the field. They collect data. They have begun interviews. There are hundreds of people in this study,” he continued. “But at the moment, the most important thing is to obtain and preserve the perishable evidence so that when we start the scene, we can start analyzing it.”

“So what people talk about is something rough, but it’s a little piece of a very big puzzle. Thousands of data points,” he added. “So eventually (this led) to our recommendation, how to prevent this tragedy from happening again.”
The FAA report also stated that one of the air traffic controllers worked two positions at the time of the collision, when the two tasks were usually shared between two air traffic controllers.

“I would be very careful for anyone who listens to this to rely on the extra-shelf software speculation they see online,” Inman said. “Our task is to get the absolute facts when we reach and analyze these (black) boxes and examine the more detailed data, (we will) give a much better picture of it.
“In fact, I would just make sure you remember that in some cases it could be a 50-meter difference and up to 100 yards for the radar, as opposed to ADS-B, which is more of a GPS based. But it’s still not as accurate as the the plane itself.
