Norway -based browser manufacturer Opera On Tuesday, he launched a new browser called “Opera Air” that focuses on mental well -being and alertness with features such as break reminders, breathing exercises, soundmarks and binaural strokes for better focus.
The company said people use browsers for their many online work and wanted to deliver a browser that is not just a utility tool but a stress and focus management system.
Opera has chosen a new, easy design language with semi -transparent themes.
In the floating sidebar, the company created a break reminder tool and the Boosts feature, which plays a combination of music, environmental sounds and binaural strokes, as well as the company’s Aria AI assistant, Messenger and WhatsApp.
The “Take a Break” function works like a battery indicator over three bands and will be gray if you continue the browser for a long time. You can determine the time of continuous use, after which the indicator level is eliminated, indicating a break. You can also turn off this signal system.
For breaks, the company designed a variety of respiratory exercises, neck, meditation or full body test. You can carry out these activities depending on the length of the break and depending on the way you want to choose.
In the case of cervical sections, you can also decide to turn on the camera so that the browser can lead to posture and form during exercises.
Currently, Opear Air has only directed exercises for English breaks. But he also works on the transmission of other languages.
The other vigilance feature, the so -called Boosts, already has a pre -configured combination of music, environmental sounds and binaural strokes. The company’s product director Mohamed Salah said he has decided to include Binaural Beats in these sound images by promoting focus to slightly different frequencies in each ear and actually creating a new “ghost” frequency in the brain .
You can change the music, the environment, the frequency of binaural strokes, and the volume of each song at any time. Users can also choose how long they want to play from 15 minutes to infinity. You can play or pause the momentum from the sidebar at any time.
When Techcrunch asked Opera why it built a separate browser instead of baking these devices in an existing browser, Salah said the company wanted to bake the concept of alertness in another product.
“One One is a great browser aimed at productivity with features such as shared screen and Tab islands. But what we want with the air of the opera is to convey the concept of alertness to vigilance tools and minimalist design, ”said Salah.
He also noted that although there are different applications for break reminders or mobile phones and mobile phones, the company wanted to provide an All-in warning package on the desktop.
The challenge of opera would be for people to accept this version for browsing alert. With the One One browser and the GX browser focused on the game, the company has built features that people are accustomed to, and switching to a minimalist browser is not easy.
