It expands the footprint of Openai to Germany. According to the press release Chatgpt Maker, released on Friday, plans to open an office in Munich in the coming months.
“It is famous for Germany’s technical expertise, scientific excellence and industrial innovation,” said Sam Altman, CEO of Openai. “Opening our first office in Germany means that we can help more people, businesses and institutions from AI opportunities.”
According to the press release, Openai has been negotiating a German satellite office with German officials since 2023. In Germany, most users, subscribers’ salaries and API developers are based on Openai technology, according to launch.
It is not clear how many people you can hire to the German office of Openai and what will be their role. We contacted Openai to comment and update this post if heard it back.
Openai’s new home arrives in South Germany after the company based in San Francisco has opened offices in Paris, Brussels and Dublin, increasing the presence of the EU.
